Nick's New Home
A newborn California sea lion, “Nick”, was rescued from the rocks of Crescent Bay at Laguna Beach, CA on June 15th, 2007 weighing just 18 pounds. This newborn pup quickly found a way into our hearts with his sweet demeanor. He was a fast learner taking the bottle after only a few days. He grew quickly, enjoying swimming in the new pools at the center and learning to chase and catch fish.

On March 31st, 2008 weighing in at 90+ pounds, Nick made the journey to his new permanent home at the Denver Zoo in Colorado. Nick joins 3 other California sea lions and 4 harbor seals at the Northern Shore exhibit at the zoo.
