"Shenanigans", a Northern elephant seal, was rescued on March 16, 2010 from Crystal Cove State Park weighing only 69 lbs. (Average birth weight is normally 75 - 90 pounds) She came in emaciated and had tar on her abdomen. Shenanigans was our smallest elephant seal of the season and now she weighs a whopping 111lbs! Shenanigans is our loudest elephant seal and is known to chase our staff and volunteers around her pen when cleaning! Come on by and visit the feisty, but sweet Shenanigans!
