Teaching Conservation has always been a cornerstone of education at PMMC. Since 2013 PMMC has invested many resources in becoming a leader of Conservation practices.  Additionally, we keep current with the ever-changing California school system, including STEM, STEAM, NEXT GENERATION SCIENCE STANDARDS and other needs of teachers and their classroom curriculum.

Our Marine Educators are passionate about presenting the current environmental pollutants affecting our planet and showing how our individual and collective actions can impact the health and well-being of our marine mammals.  We offer active solutions to pollution problems that all ages can achieve while also providing the tools to share and present conservation ideas with others.

At PMMC, from the entrance of our Visitor Yard to behind the scenes of our water reclamation project, we lead by example walking the walk and talking the talk of conservation.  Come see what we have done and continue to do to improve the greening of Pacific Marine Mammal Center and to keep the ocean blue!

For in the end, we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught.
