Education Programs

PMMC offers a variety of exciting educational programming including live animal viewings, multimedia presentations, hands-on activities, and more for a variety of age groups. All programs align with Next Generation Science Standards & Core Ideas.  

Group Programs

All group programs require a non-refundable $25 deposit that will go towards program costs. Click on any program title to learn more!

Field Trips: Investigate the world of marine mammals through our one hour educational programs. Each program includes a multimedia presentation and a viewing of our animals. $10/person

Distance Learning:  Our field trip program brought to you! Experts will host a multimedia presentation through video conferencing with an interactive question and answer session. $75/session

Girl Scouts: Learn about the role we serve in keeping our oceans clean with our Daisy and Brownie Journey programs. Approximately 1.5 hours longs. $15/scout & $15/chaperone

Change the Life of a Seal: Help support PMMC by hosting a fundraiser in your own classroom. This fundraiser meets K-12 Service Learning Standards for Quality Practice.

Pinniped Pollution Project: The Pinniped Pollution Project (PPP) is a grant-funded program that focuses on ocean pollution and its effects on local marine mammals and the environment. This program is limited to 4th and 5th graders and is approximately 2 hours long.

Camp Pinniped:  Witness a marine mammal hospital in action! Students ages 8 - 13 attend camp Monday-Friday from 9 am - 3 pm and learn about marine mammal rescue, rehabilitation, and release. Each day's theme is creatively reinforced through multimedia presentations, games, and arts and crafts. $330/child

Kids Club: After school program designed for students ages 8 - 13. The club meets one Friday a month (September to May) from 4 pm - 6 pm. The kids are engaged through interactive marine science lectures, games, experiments, and arts and crafts. $300/child
