Meet Raindrop, Miley & Kenny!

This summer, PMMC experienced a drastic influx of patients due to a domoic acid bloom off of California’s coast. As many very sick adult sea lion patients were rescued and required intensive care in our hospital, three pregnancies were discovered. We were thrilled to welcome three baby sea lion pups born at our hospital!

JUNIOR PHILANTHROPISTS

Kids can make a difference!

Jackson and Sawyer Collins
Iconic Ornaments

Jackson and Sawyer Collins’ were PMMC’s 2022 Junior Philanthropists of the year. These  two brothers championed PMMC, our community, and our ocean environment by designing and creating historically significant Laguna Beach icon holiday ornaments. A draftsman helped the brothers measure the historic lifeguard tower before they worked with a factory to design and build a prototype. They’ve donated $1 from the sale of each ornament to Pacific Marine Mammal Center.

Audrey Kim
AUDREY4CARE

Audrey Kim, PMMC's 2019 Junior Philanthropist of the Year wrote a letter to former President Obama two years ago when she was just 6-years-old expressing her concerns for the impact oil spills have with ocean animals and their environment. After receiving a letter back she got straight to work creating a network to spread awareness about animals and their environmental issues in today's world. "As a young girl, the biggest challenge I have faced is when people say that we little ones are the next generation to make a difference in the future. But NO! I am not going to wait until then. I am going to do something right now," Audrey said in a passionate speech receiving a standing ovation from the crowd.
