Step into the world of PMMC! See how rescued marine mammals get a second chance at life and learn how you can help them thrive. Our lively instructors share each patient’s story with real artifacts and interactive activities, making every moment unforgettable.

COMMUNITY
Get a brief introduction to PMMC, followed by a look at marine mammals as sentinels of ocean health. Our scientists are currently investigating several issues stemming from human impacts on the marine environment, including cancer in California sea lions, entanglements in trash and fishing gear, climate change, harmful algal blooms, and more. Learn about research being conducted and how it informs wildlife management efforts.

Want PMMC at your next event? To request a PMMC Outreach booth, staff representative, or guest speaker please complete this form. Preferably, we ask that requests be submitted 8 weeks prior to the event date.
You will receive a response to your request in approximately 10 days confirming it was received and we will be in contact as to whether we are able to participate in your event. For events requested months in advance, please note we will need additional time for scheduling a team.

Our energetic and engaging instructors weave the stories of our patient’s journeys with media and real marine mammal artifacts to create a dynamic and interactive experience for participants.
