  • 4th + 5th Grade | Group Size: 8-35 | 50 Minutes | Free for Title-1 Schools

The Pinniped Pollution Project (PPP) is a free program for Title-1, 4th & 5th grade classrooms from around Orange County. The program focuses on the watershed and how ocean pollution affects our local environment and marine mammals. Students learn about the process of marine mammal rescue, rehabilitation, and release. This is followed by a presentation on different forms of ocean pollution, how it enters the watershed, and patient stories that bring the problem to life. The students leave with increased awareness and a passion to make environmental changes, not only in their lives, but also in their friends’ and families’ lives.
